Kursat Derici
Dr. Mehmet Kürşat Derici is an accomplished medical pharmacologist with extensive experience in pharmacology, drug analysis, and regulatory compliance, currently serving as the Head of the Department of Medical Pharmacology at Kırıkkale University Faculty of Medicine. He graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 1993 and completed his Ph.D. at Ankara University in 2004. His career has spanned various roles, including working as an analyst expert at the Refik Saydam Hygiene Center and leading the Department of Medical Biological Products Laboratories at the Turkey Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency, where he focused on GMP, GLP, and the analysis of biological and biotechnological drugs.
Since 2015, Dr. Derici has been involved in academia, holding positions such as department head and vice-director at Hitit University's Institute of Health. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Turkish Pharmacology Association and the Vaccine Science Association, and contributes to the editorial boards of the Turkish Journal of Hygiene and Experimental Biology and the Middle Black Sea Journal of Health Science Magazine. Dr. Derici also participates in the European Pharmacopoeia, specifically in the Bacterial Endotoxin Test Working Group, and the Turkish Pharmacopoeia Working Group.
He has led and assisted in numerous research projects funded by entities like Eczacıbaşı, Novartis, Hitit University, and TÜBİTAK, contributing to over 20 publications and more than 30 reports. Since 2021, Dr. Derici has also directed the TITCK Analysis Laboratories, further enhancing his expertise in drug analysis and regulatory affairs, which significantly supports pharmaceutical R&D and production processes.
