Arnold Bosman
Arnold Bosman is a seasoned medical doctor and epidemiologist with a rich background in infectious disease and field epidemiology, marked by over 80 scientific publications and more than 4000 citations. He founded Transmissible, a public health enterprise dedicated to education and evaluation in public health. His professional journey includes leadership roles such as heading the Public Health Training Section at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) from 2006 to 2016 and serving as the chief scientific coordinator for the European Programme for Intervention Epidemiology Training (EPIET). Previously, he worked as a senior consultant in outbreak response and project leader in surveillance at the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) in the Netherlands.
Dr. Bosman is currently focused on the design and development of innovative public health training tools that incorporate artistic storytelling and game-based learning. He leads the international consortium 'Rosseta' that provides capacity-building support to the World Health Organization (WHO), with his company Transmissible BV holding a Long-Term Agreement with the WHO to support this work.
