Veterinarian A. Begüm Buğdaycı Açıkkol is a distinguished veterinary professional and an influential entrepreneur, renowned for her contributions to veterinary medicine and biotechnology. Her notable project, aimed at meeting the demand for healthy experimental animals in Turkey, won first prize in the "Do You Have an Idea?" competition. This competition was a collaborative effort involving Bilkent University, Cyberpark, GYİAD, Akbank, and LabX, drawing participation from 750 projects.

Under her leadership, Kobay A.Ş. significantly contributed to vaccine and drug research during the COVID-19 pandemic by implementing in vivo experimental animals in critical studies conducted in Turkey, Russia, and Azerbaijan.
