Prof. Dr. Gülçin Saltan İşcan is a distinguished professor of Pharmacognosy at Ankara University Faculty of Pharmacy, where she has made significant contributions to the field since graduating from Hacettepe University Faculty of Pharmacy in 1984. In 2004, she became a professor and has since been recognized for her pioneering work in the industrial production of herbal products, earning the Entrepreneurship Award in this field in 2020. Prof. İşcan also founded GC Natura in August 2020, under which she launched products like "Gilaburine" and "Gilaburu PP," both available in Turkish pharmacies. Her expertise extends to the standardization of medical products, formulation, preparation of technical files, and marketing. Additionally, she plays a crucial role in pharmaceutical R&D and production, particularly with products already on the market. Alongside Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kürşat Derici, Prof. İşcan is responsible for reviewing all training materials and reports for their project, ensuring high standards in pharmaceutical education and control.
